Baking Substitution

Do you ever run out of eggs, but you need to bake some cookies, yet don't feel like going to the grocery store just for eggs??? Well, if that ever happens (and you don't have a chicken in the back yard to lay some fresh eggs), substitute CORNSTARCH!

1 egg = 2 tablespoons cornstarch

I just made some oatmeal raisin cookies with cornstarch and they turned out great! I also added just a dash of milk so they would have the same consistency, but otherwise, you can't tell that anything is missing. Enjoy :)

You are brilliant! Shopping has become ridiculous, especially for fresh items like eggs, cheese, and vegetables! Thanks for the tip!
